Are you struggling with persistent eyelid discomfort?

  • Constant itching and a “sandy” or “grain of sand” feeling in the eyes.
  • Crusted debris or dandruff in the lashes, especially in the morning.
  • Red and swollen eyelids.
  • Frustration with over-the-counter treatments (wipes, drops) that only offer temporary relief.

Blepharitis rarely resolves on its own. Left untreated, it can lead to chronic dry eyes, corneal damage, or an infestation by Demodex mites — microscopic organisms that worsen inflammation. Stop guessing and start dealing with the root cause.

Stop treating the symptoms. Deal with the cause.

Understanding the Origin of Your Discomfort

Understanding the Precise Cause of Your Blepharitis is the first essential step in regaining healthy eyelids and lasting comfort. This inflammation is rarely an isolated problem; it is very often the consequence of Clogged eyelid tassels (DGM) that does not longer lubricate the eye properly. Additionally, inflammatory skin conditions, such as Ocular rosacea, are frequent triggers that we investigate.

There are also several things that can worsen or cause blepharitis. Dermatological conditions such as Dermatitis seborrheique Can Contribute to This, As Can allergies seasonal or contact. A key diagnosis that we carry out is the search for a proliferation of microscopic mites, the Demodex, a very common cause of chronic and resistant blepharitis. To the CARE Clinic, our advanced diagnostic process aims to identify all of these factors in order to offer you a truly effective treatment plan.

FAQ
Is blepharitis contagious?

No, blepharitis is absolutely not contagious. It is a personal inflammatory condition that cannot be transmitted from one person to another. You have no risk of transmitting it to your loved ones.

How is your assessment at the CARE Clinic different?

Our approach goes beyond a simple review. At our clinic, we use advanced diagnostic technologies, such as microscopy to detect the presence of Demodex and meibography to visualize the condition of your glands. This allows us to not only treat the symptoms but to identify and manage the root cause of your blepharitis.

What is the link between blepharitis and dry eyes?

The connection is extremely close. Blepharitis, especially when it affects the meibomian glands, disrupts the production of the oily layer in your tears. Without this oil, tears evaporate too quickly, causing evaporative dry eye. Treating blepharitis is therefore often the first and most important step in relieving dry eyes.

Can chronic blepharitis be cured permanently?

Blepharitis is often a chronic condition, similar to eczema or rosacea. Although a definitive “cure” is rare, a complete control and lasting relief of symptoms are quite possible. Our goal at the CARE Clinic is to provide you with a personalized treatment plan and long-term hygiene strategies to keep inflammation under control and prevent flare-ups.
